STEELHEAD ACCLIMATION POND

Skamania Hatchery plans to deliver 15,000 3 to 4 inch (Parr) Summer Steelhead to our acclimation pond on the South Fork Toutle River. The delivery will take place in early February. The Hatchery is concerned with current flooding conditions. They have been assured CG&A is closely monitoring the conditions at the pond and will advise them of any problems.

As usual we will be accepting volunteers to feed the fish on an every-other-day basis. Great fun especially interesting to any youngsters you may have (Sons, Daughters, Grandkids, neighbors). Most kids think fish come in cellophane wrappers at the supermarket. This is a chance to get them interested in something other than an IPod.
