Egg Buckets
by Cowlitz Game & Anglers ~ February 15th, 2009. Filed under: Misc.January 26 Mike Tyrrell, Ellis Anderson, Dick Miller and James Tomlinson distributed the 40,000 eyed eggs to 8 stream locations in the local Cowlitz River drainage. Average water temperature was about 39F.
February 9 we started getting reports from our stalwart bucket stewards the eggs were hatching and the little Alvins were seeking refuge in the bucket substrate while absorbing the yolk sacs on their chins.
